In the movie The Help , the housekeeper, Aibileen , tells Hilly Holbrook a story about a little girl who was told to take a bath, and she refused. The little girl said she didn’t have to take a bath – she had been in the pool – and besides, she was going swimming with her friends anyway. This led to a long conversation about the many reasons why one shouldn’t bathe, but Aibileen told her that you can’t be too careful.
